Kate Mansi Rewrote Abby's Wedding Vows on 'Days of our Lives'

Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abby's (Kate Mansi) wedding began on the March 11 episode of Days of Our Lives, but when Abby reads her vows they will be different than what was initially in the script.

In the latest issue of Soap Opera Digest, Mansi reveals that she personally wrote Abby's wedding vows.

When the actress read the script as originally written, she shares with the magazine, "I didn't think we were giving it enough of Abby; It was like saying somebody else's words. I think it was over a hiatus when I got the script. I rewrote them and I went to [co-executive producer] Albert [Alarr] and said, "I know it's the day of the wedding, and things are crazy, but could you please let me say these vows once on camera and if you don't like it, we can take it all out. I've memorized both versions, so it is totally your call.'"

According to the magazine, Mansi read her vows and it was agreed that they would be used in the ceremony.

It sounds like somebody knows her character very well. Kate Mansi will be missed when she last airs as Abby later this year.
