'Criminal Minds' Star Shemar Moore Returning to 'The Young and the Restless' as a Special Guest

For the first time in nearly a decade, Shemar Moore will return to The Young and the Restless for a special two-day guest appearance, Wednesday, September 10 and Thursday, September 11 (12:30-1:30 p.m. ET; 11:00 a.m.-12:00 Noon PT) on CBS.

Moore, who appeared as a series regular for 11 years (1994–2002 and 2004–2005), will reprise his role as the charismatic Malcolm Winters, a portrayal that earned him a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series in 2000.

“I am excited about returning to The Young and the Restless as a special guest,” said Moore. "This is where I got my start and I am looking forward to reuniting with my soap opera family."

[SPOILER ALERT]

During his two-day return, Moore will reunite with longtime friend and co-star Kristoff St. John, who portrays his on-screen brother, Neil Winters. In the episodes, Malcolm returns to Genoa City after leaving town years before without a proper goodbye. Now, he’s back for an important visit with the Winters family to make amends and catch up on everything he’s missed.
